Copycat Jungle Julep

If you’ve never tried Bengal Barbecue in Adventureland, you are missing out! They have a Jungle Julep that is hands down my favorite treat to get at Disneyland. It’s fruity, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. There’s nothing better than taking a seat in Adventureland and taking in the sights and sounds while sipping on one of these bad boys on a warm California afternoon.

But let’s be honest, many of us don’t get to go to Disney as often as we’d like so not having these yummy treats can be a real downer. So after my last trip, I was determined to recreate one of my absolute favorite Disney treats. For my list of Top 10 Disney treats, click here.

Review of the Disneyland Hotel

My entire life I have wanted to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel. I mean how great would it be to stay on site and constantly be surrounded by the magic of Disney? But let’s be honest, Disney hotels are super pricey and for a long time I couldn’t justify spending that amount of money to stay somewhere that I would only be sleeping at. But, several years ago my entire family went to Disney and we decided to splurge and stay at the Disneyland Hotel. We had little kids so we wanted somewhere close in case we needed to take them back for naps in the room and it just seemed like the most convenient option for us. So, we booked our trip and for months I couldn’t contain my excitement about staying at the OG Disneyland Hotel.

Disneyland’s Best Sit Down Restaurants

One of my favorite things to do at Disneyland is try all of the various food offerings. There are so many options to choose from and most people go for the quick service options because they are faster and you can eat there when it’s convenient for you. But honestly, I enjoy eating at nicer sit down restaurants in the parks at least once every trip because of the atmosphere and experience that they provide, plus they give you a nice break to sit and relax for a bit.

Yes, they are more expensive and they will take a bit more time to eat, but I think that’s totally worth it. You don’t have to stand in a long line to order or place a mobile order super early, or try to compete with other people for tables. You can just sit back and relax for a bit and take in the restaurant. So if you are planning on doing some fine dining at Disney, here’s a brief overview of all of the sit down restaurants I have tried and my thoughts on them.

All of these restaurants accept reservations which you should try to make 60 days in advance, especially for hard to get spots like Blue Bayou, Lamplight Lounge, and Oga’s Cantina. I will get into how to make reservations a little later, but first, let’s take a look at the spots the parks have to offer.
