Copycat Mickey S’mores


Who doesn’t love the classic pairing of graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate? S’mores are such a staple for perfect summer nights around the fire, camping, or even at barbecues. But you haven’t had a s’more like Disney does them.


Let’s be honest, everything Disney makes is delicious but imagine a s’more made with rich fudge, gooey homemade marshmallow, and then dip the entire thing in chocolate. They are so ridiculously good and have claimed their spot on my Top 10 Disney Treats list!

Disney Parks Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums Recipe

Num num cookies! There are few things better than the perfect chocolate chip cookie. The golden brown outside, soft warm inside with the melty chocolate chips. But even better than that is a Disney chocolate chip cookie and there’s none better than Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums that you can find on Pixar Pier!

Disney Parks releases their recipe for this delicious treat and let me just say… they are so good! The game changer about this recipe is cooking them in cupcake liners so they don’t spread and go flat and you use browned butter. There is NOTHING better than brown butter. Disney Parks Churro Recipe

I think we can all agree that there’s nothing quite like a Disney churro. The delicious cinnamon sugar coating, the crispy outside and the soft, warm inside. It’s such a Disney staple that no matter how many times I’ve had one, I always want more every time I go back!

Now if you’re like me and don’t get to visit the parks as often as you’d like, you start to miss Disney’s delicious treats but lucky for us, Disney Parks has released their churro recipe so now we don’t have to wait until our next trip to have a sweet treat! We can now make Disney churros right in our own homes and to make it even better, everything you need are things you already have in your pantry!

Copycat Jungle Julep

If you’ve never tried Bengal Barbecue in Adventureland, you are missing out! They have a Jungle Julep that is hands down my favorite treat to get at Disneyland. It’s fruity, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. There’s nothing better than taking a seat in Adventureland and taking in the sights and sounds while sipping on one of these bad boys on a warm California afternoon.

But let’s be honest, many of us don’t get to go to Disney as often as we’d like so not having these yummy treats can be a real downer. So after my last trip, I was determined to recreate one of my absolute favorite Disney treats. For my list of Top 10 Disney treats, click here.

Review of the Disneyland Hotel

My entire life I have wanted to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel. I mean how great would it be to stay on site and constantly be surrounded by the magic of Disney? But let’s be honest, Disney hotels are super pricey and for a long time I couldn’t justify spending that amount of money to stay somewhere that I would only be sleeping at. But, several years ago my entire family went to Disney and we decided to splurge and stay at the Disneyland Hotel. We had little kids so we wanted somewhere close in case we needed to take them back for naps in the room and it just seemed like the most convenient option for us. So, we booked our trip and for months I couldn’t contain my excitement about staying at the OG Disneyland Hotel.

Disneyland’s Best Sit Down Restaurants

One of my favorite things to do at Disneyland is try all of the various food offerings. There are so many options to choose from and most people go for the quick service options because they are faster and you can eat there when it’s convenient for you. But honestly, I enjoy eating at nicer sit down restaurants in the parks at least once every trip because of the atmosphere and experience that they provide, plus they give you a nice break to sit and relax for a bit.

Yes, they are more expensive and they will take a bit more time to eat, but I think that’s totally worth it. You don’t have to stand in a long line to order or place a mobile order super early, or try to compete with other people for tables. You can just sit back and relax for a bit and take in the restaurant. So if you are planning on doing some fine dining at Disney, here’s a brief overview of all of the sit down restaurants I have tried and my thoughts on them.

All of these restaurants accept reservations which you should try to make 60 days in advance, especially for hard to get spots like Blue Bayou, Lamplight Lounge, and Oga’s Cantina. I will get into how to make reservations a little later, but first, let’s take a look at the spots the parks have to offer.

DIY Welcome Foolish Mortals Porch Sign

“Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion. I am your host, yourΒ ghosthost… There’s no turning back now.”

If you’ve been following along with all of my spooky season DIY tutorials the last few weeks, then it’s pretty obvious that I absolutely love the Haunted Mansion. It’s one of my absolute favorite rides and Halloween is the perfect time to create your own Haunted Mansion decor!

Today’s DIY tutorial is my Welcome Foolish Mortals porch sign. I actually made this sign a few years about but it was a more light weight version of this sign that I hung inside my Haunted Mansion wreath but when I decided to remake my Haunted Mansion wreath this year, I wanted to do the sign separate from the wreath so I could make it bigger.

DIY Haunted Mansion Candlestick Tutorial

“Whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still β€”Β that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight!” Oh Haunted Mansion, how I love you and your spooky monologue. If you’re trying to make somewhere feel spooky and haunted, one item you have to have is a candlestick. If you look around the Haunted Mansion they are everywhere!

So I decided to make a rustic candlestick inspired by the Haunted Mansion to stick in my house. I wanted to make one of these because it would add some nice height and contrast to the decorations on my mantle and I knew I could make one for pretty cheap. One trip to the craft store and an afternoon later and it was finished! So, here is my super simple and extremely fast DIY rustic candlestick I tutorial:

DIY Poison Apple Decoration

Spooky season is here and I cannot wait! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and October is by far my favorite month. With it comes warm sweaters, crisp air, beautiful colors, leaf piles, pumpkin patches, hot chocolate, pumpkin cookies, but my most favorite part of all is Halloween! And more importantly, decorating for Halloween!

I love adding touches of Disney to my Halloween decor when I can so I decided to recreate the Poison Apple from Snow White. If you’ve seen the movie, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

When the evil queen dips the apple into the poison it comes out with the poison dripping off of it and it looks like a skull. So iconic! Every Halloween Disney incorporates this image into a lot of things like mugs, candy jars, candle holders, popcorn buckets, treats, and of course their delicious caramel apples! So I decided to make my own poison apple to display on my mantle. This is such a quick and easy project it won’t take up too much of your time so let’s get started.

DIY Haunted Mansion Halloween Wreath

Halloween is easily one of my favorite times of the year and I love incorporating Disney aspects into my Halloween decor. Early on in my marriage I made a Haunted Mansion wreath that was cute, but over the years it got worn down and I just didn’t love it as much so I set out to remake a new wreath for my front door that was a little bit more updated.

I had a white and black damask ribbon that started as the base of my wreath because it reminded me of the iconic wallpaper in the attraction, and then I added purples, greens, and blacks to match the colors you see in the rides as well as the cast member costumes. The beauty about this DIY is that it’s pretty forgiving and you don’t have to be super crafty for this to turn out well, and it isn’t super expensive either. Plus you can also make this your own by adding things you would like. So let’s get into it!
