Walking the queue of the Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite spots in the parks. The attention to detail of every aspect of that ride inside and out is just amazing. Now at Disneyland they have the stacked crypts but at Walt Disney World they have the iconic individual tombstones across the Haunted Mansion grounds. So I wanted to recreate those iconic tombstones for my own yard to display for Halloween!
Now I have to say this may be my favorite spooky season DIY yet! This project wasnβt hard but it did take a lot more time and effort to complete. With that being said, I absolutely love having these in my yard for Halloween. So letβs get going and Iβll walk you through how to make your own!

If you’ve been around here for a while then you know that the Haunted Mansion is one of my absolute favorite rides at Disney and many of last years spooky season tutorials were centered around this iconic ride. So naturally, most of my Halloween decorations center around this theme like my Haunted Mansion inspired candlestick, my Haunted Mansion wreath, and my “Welcome Foolish Mortals” sign. So of course I had to take it a step further and create this Haunted Mansion inspired garland, and I’m going to show you how to make it as well, so let’s get started!

Every Halloween there are certain movies that you just have to watch. And if you’re like me, Harry Potter is totally a Halloween movie and honestly one that never gets old. Now I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. I’ve read all the books and seen all the movies so I thought it would be fun to create my own Harry Potter potion bottles to have in my home during Halloween time to add to the spooky feel.

“Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion. I am your host, yourΒ ghosthost… There’s no turning back now.”
If youβve been following along with all of my spooky season DIY tutorials the last few weeks, then itβs pretty obvious that I absolutely love the Haunted Mansion. Itβs one of my absolute favorite rides and Halloween is the perfect time to create your own Haunted Mansion decor!
Today’s DIY tutorial is my Welcome Foolish Mortals porch sign. Spooky season is here and I cannot wait! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year and October is by far my favorite month. With it comes warm sweaters, crisp air, beautiful colors, leaf piles, pumpkin patches, hot chocolate, pumpkin cookies, but my most favorite part of all is Halloween! And more importantly, decorating for Halloween!
I love adding touches of Disney to my Halloween decor when I can so I decided to recreate the Poison Apple from Snow White. If youβve seen the movie, you know exactly what Iβm talking about.
When the evil queen dips the apple into the poison it comes out with the poison dripping off of it and it looks like a skull. So iconic! Every Halloween Disney incorporates this image into a lot of things like mugs, candy jars, candle holders, popcorn buckets, treats, and of course their delicious caramel apples! So I decided to make my own poison apple to display on my mantle. This is such a quick and easy project it wonβt take up too much of your time so let’s get started.

Halloween is easily one of my favorite times of the year and I love incorporating Disney aspects into my Halloween decor. Early on in my marriage I made a Haunted Mansion wreath that was cute, but over the years it got worn down and I just didn’t love it as much so I set out to remake a new wreath for my front door that was a little bit more updated.
I had a white and black damask ribbon that started as the base of my wreath because it reminded me of the iconic wallpaper in the attraction, and then I added purples, greens, and blacks to match the colors you see in the rides as well as the cast member costumes. The beauty about this DIY is that it’s pretty forgiving and you don’t have to be super crafty for this to turn out well, and it isn’t super expensive either. Plus you can also make this your own by adding things you would like. So let’s get into it!
